AW: Mat leave approved!
I am thrilled! They approved it all...between accrued annual leave, long term medical leave, comp time and two holidays I had 506 hours of leave to "spend" in my maternity leave proposal.
So I proposed 8 full weeks off, 2 more weeks at home with working from home 20 hours/week, 3 more weeks working from home 4 hours/day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and coming into the office for 6 hours on Tuesdays and Thursdayts and then 4 more weeks with just 6 hour days for a total of 17 weeks from start to finish.
Yay! I am so glad I'll be able to transition back to working fulltime rather than just having 12.5 weeks off completely and then jumping back into work fulltime. This also means we don't have to consider putting Libby in daycare until she's 6 months old rather than at 3 months.
