Okay, I'm a blubbery mess.
This is absurd. Some of this has to be hormones. I mean, I consider myself a sensitive person in some respects, but seriously, I am beside myself that Alex is upstairs in a bed. Yes, it's a crib mattress and it's like, 8 inches off the ground...but it's NOT his crib. I just feel like lately he's been doing so many things to distance himself from being a baby. I know he's not an INFANT kind of baby, but he's still just a baby! Who toddles.
Doesn't he know how traumatic this is for me?!?!
Re: Okay, I'm a blubbery mess.
I understand. I find myself half in awe that Alyssa is already 3 months old and no longer a newborn, and doing so many things!! I mean, she had a laughing spell today for the first time!!! But I am half in absolute nostagia because she will never be my tiny little newborn chickadee again!!
It's perfectly fine for you to cry.
I can definitely understand how you feel.....it's a happy kind of sad because your baby boy is growing up!
If you need a cheap laugh, check your email
I just saw that. I was like, "Man, does she know how much I needed that!"
Thanks, Laura.
Awww, poor mama! ((hugs)) ?I would be a blubbery mess too. ?I know how you feel- every day Ben is doing more and more. ?It doesn't help that he's only 7 months but is 30 inches tall- so people don't think he's a baby and it makes me sad. ?Today he crawled over to me just to give me a hug and a big, wet sloppy kiss- then went right back to playing and it made me tear up.
PS_ I can't wait for us to get all the boys together for some play time! : )?
Shows how alert I am this morning, Heather - I thought this said "BLUEBERRY" mess and was coming in to see what you'd been eating!! LOL!
I know he's growing up - but he needs to. To get ready to be the best big brother to Molly!
i know how you feel!!!!
im teary eyed over here for you! milestones are great but so freaking bittersweet too.
yay for the bed! but hugs to you that your little man is growing up so fast!
My dad was trying to make me feel better and he reminded me of a funny story.
Necessary background: I have a brother and a sister. My brother will be 14 next month and my sister is 12 and a half. She was 3 months premature, and so they shared a room for a while and she got used to it, so they just kept her in there.
Obviously, my brother figured out how to climb out of his crib. For a while, he would climb out of his crib, and INTO my sister's, and eventually taught her how to get out of her crib.
Sigh. I don't know if that's the kind of big brother I want Alex to be. But it reminded me of this great pic we have of the two of them sitting in my sister's crib. Ha.
