I have B**** for a course instructor!
This women is sooo rude and nasty! Its a religions course too and she is a Reverend....at a religious university. Now, I haven't been to church in a while, but when I went we were nice to each other....
Re: I have B**** for a course instructor!
How long is the course? Are there any other instructors or are you just stuck with her? Hopefully it gets better!
I'm in week 3 of an 8 week course. I just hate that i am throwing away my money because I am not enjoying this class at all. For $400 per credit hour, I'm not going to be treated like crap!
Yikes! $400 a credit hour? Where are you taking classes? Are they grad level classes or undergrad? It does suck either way. I had some instructors that I hated and then some that I adored and took classes that I was only semi-interested in because knew the instructors would make the classes fun an worthwhile.
Good luck and on the evaluation at the end of the coarse, I would totally comment on her attitude.
I"m working on getting switched to a differnet section. Here's her reply after she accused me of working ahead and I said that I never work ahead....
Amber...
Your concern would have been more appropriately handled in a private email to me via COURSE MAIL. However, since you chose to post your comments publicly, I'll address your concern in this venue.
While I can truly appreciate your frustration about this, it would not be wise for you to email me every week regarding this matter. The course syllabus clearly states that the facilitator has discretion over how the course is executed. Furthermore, my facilitator's guide states:
"Facilitators are invited to adjust the course to emphasize some of what they think is important. A decision is required in Week 3 among options on what the third discussion thread will be?see Weekly Activities in that week."
I was not consulted as to whether the choice of activity (thread selection) lay with me or the student. And you have not read or responded to the Facilitator Note posted the first week.
Again, I genuinely regret this unfortunate situation has arisen. The beneficial side is that knowledge gained is never wasted effort. Let's now put this behind us and move forward. We've got five (5) wonderful weeks of exploration ahead of us!
