Displaying holiday cards?! YOUR ideas, please :)

What is your unique way of displaying holiday cards? I don't have a mantle but I would like to display them in a "different" kind of way.

My mom takes this gorgeous velvet ribbon and wraps it around a door (like the coat closet). She has two of them going vertically and then sticks straight pins down the length of them. As she gets cards she pins them to the ribbon. It looks really pretty!!

We just bought a card holder at Christmas Tree Shop. DH hung it on our door. It holds up to like 20 cards.

I have some plain green garland running along the bookcases next to our TV.  I tape the cards to the garland to jazz it up a little.

i know you said you don't have a mantle, but i do mine on a second ledge of my mantle. PIB siggy

we've taped cards to a coat closet door and made it look like a christmas tree.

I haven't decided what I am doing with ours this year. My mom tapes them to the coat closet. She normall does it in a collage type design  and it always looks adorable!

Last year we got a thin garland with poinsettias, and we hung it vertically and I made a matching bow at the top, and then we just stapled the cards to the garland.

We just bought a cardholder/display from Personal Creations (online).  It's made of metal and is shaped like a Christmas Tree.  It's about 2-3 feet tall and displays 24 cards.. We LOVE IT!!!!!!

I tape mine on the door.  If you get enough you can put them in the shape of a tree or snowflake.

I bought a card holder thing - it's made of felt and what not (doesn't sound exciting, but it's really cool) that we hang on the wall.  It has pockets for cards.

A friend of mine has a few horizontal wires affixed to her coat closet door.  She hangs the cards over that, or tapes them to it.  It's kinda cool!  I just dont' have a door like that.

I put all of mine in a little metal sleigh on the side table next to our sofa.  It's fun to sit and read them all while we're watching TV in the evening.

I have a couple lengths of pretty ribbon tacked vertically to the dining room wall, and I fasten the cards with clothes pins.  I always 'start it off" with my favorites from last year.

I have a tall lamp and I tie a ribbon at the very top and then hang the cards off of it with those little tacks that split at the bottom to hold something up.  It always gets compliments.

I just hang the cards on our pantry door in the kitchen. It's a good display, all the cards can be read, and it's easy.

We don't have much to work with at the house we are renting.  So we just put them on our closet door.  People can see them going up and down the steps.  I guess that's the best way to do it for now.

We have slatted folding doors outside the kitchen.  They're perfect for slipping a card in. We try to alternate and keep big cards to even out small ones and put two on each slat.  We usually can get up to 100 on the two doors, others I just squeeze in.
