My inbox is flooded with them.

Walmart, Biglots, Wine Country Gift Baskets, J Crew, blahblhablhahhhh.

Multiple blasts from the same stores per day.  So obnoxious.

Why don't you create an e-mail account just for junk mail?

I usually feel the same way, but a couple of the coupons this week have helped me cross more folks off the gift list... at a significant discount.   Although, I'll probably be annonyed with them again next week, once the shopping is complete.

This is what I do. I use my old hotmail account for signing up for things, mailing lists, etc. I seriously ONLY use my gmail for personal e-mails. No sale e-mails at all, and I just weed through my hotmail once a day.

Yup.  I also never sign up for catalogs with my real name.  This way I can track which companies sell my information to other companies.

Everything comes to me as "Julius Monkey," "Clancy Giraffe," etc.

I made the mistake of signing up for those places with 10yearstogether at gmail.  But then I realized I get a lot of good stuff with my 10yt email.  So I forward them all to my real email.

I saw you mention this once before. I started doing this too...good tip!
