Outdoor christmas lights dilemma
So this year, I decided to have christmas lights on my porch. Problem is, these damn OUTDOOR christmas lights won't plug to any grounded plug.
So how do I plug them? Buy an indoor extension cord and then see my house burn down?

Don't drink the water.

I have an outdoor extension cord. My problem is that my outdoor lights won't plug into the outdoor extension cord.
I can only see how that would be a problem if your lights had a grounding prong and the extension cord didn't have a slot for it. I've only seen the opposite (lights have two prongs, extension cord can take three).
Can you describe what your cord ends are exactly? Maybe we can help you figure out a solution.
I feel your pain - I've been trying to figure out a way to do this myself.
I was in Home Depot today and bought outdoor light duty 2-prong extension cords for my lights. They were not in the Christmas section - I found them near the lighting aisle.
