We have 2 relatively new employees (6m)  that I work with a good deal.  Last month we went to MN for 5 days and we spent a lot of time together.

Anyway, one of them was in my office this morning asking some work related questions.  Out of the blue she said, "I dind't know you were....uh....how do I say this and be politically correct...uh.." So I interject, "Gay?"  She laughed and said, "Yea..I never realized it until we got back from the conference."  Then she told me about her gay BIL.

Seriously?  How could you miss it? I openly talk about L on a regular basis talk about "our" kids, have a wedding picture up in my office, have multiple family pictures up on my big bulletin board above my desk...

Just made me LOL.

that is so true.  I appreciate people trying to relate...but it is funny.

It could be worse.  I recall going to a social event, and having a guy hit on my now wife.  We were doing everything short of making out on the dining room table to let him know that she was spoken for, but he wasn't catching on.
