WHY?!?!?!?
I made a fairly large mistake at work this week. It wasn't 100% my fault more like 75%. I wish I'd caught it sooner. The lady called saying here large expensive order was wrong and that it'd need to be printed. We printed Intrest instead of Interest. I had it right on the paper proof, but when I printed of the velum copy to make the screen for printing the misspelling got in there. I don't know how.
The person who's does the first proof of the sample product before giving the okay to print didn't catch it either. (The printers bring in a sample to compare to the paper proof, a final once over before ALL of them are printed, it's to catch any errors that might of slipped through. Only Management can give the final okay.)We shipped them out.
She called today. I got sent home early. I was told to come back on Monday, but I was still sent home.
I'm freaking out that Monday is going to be my last day. I can't breathe, and if I get fired I'm going to feel like a complete failure. It was an honest mistake, but I can't get over it. I've never been sent home, and I am freaking out. DW says that if they were going to fire me they'd of already called and told me not to come back. That it's not something people really d!ck around on. But still. I just really really need your thoughts and prayers today.
I have been crying about it since I got home at 1:55.
