Anyone with Time Warner have the Standard Cable/Family Choice package? I'm thinking about downgrading our cable to this level, but I was wondering if anyone had it. Everytime I try to look up info about what included, it take forever to load the pages. I plan to call this week and talk to someone about it, but thought I'd ask here for now since I cant call right now. My DH is worried he'll lose the HD channels if I downgrade. Any input would be great!
Re: Time Warner Question
Not sure exactly...but I do know we pay about $120 per month for cable (the lowest package that gives us HD) and roadrunner. It's insane!!
I just called Direct TV this week and they offer an HD package, home phone and internet (through Verizon) for $85 until 2011...and then it goes up to $120 after that.
We don't want to lose HD either, or else we would downgrade. I only want the HD local channels...so we have thought about buying a tivo and just using that with an HD antenna (which is awesome and we had to buy one when the bills game was on and time warner didn't have their contract with CBS up to date...it's only $15)
But I think you have to pay Tivo a monthly fee too?? I'm just sick of dumping so much money into this!! But we use tv and internet ALL THE TIME - I just wish it was a bit cheaper.
We have the most basic package that TWC offers - and no, we don't have any HD channels. We don't have an HD tv though so it doesn't bother us... With the lower package we can still get DVR if we want to (and some channels have a "start over" option too) but it would cost extra and we do get Noggin/Nick Jr.
HTH!!
ETA: We pay $94.43 for that basic package + basic road runner internet (which is very fast!!)
