Anyone been Skydiving?

DH and I were out with a couple we are friends with tonight and they are going Skydiving in two weeks and asked us if we wanted to go.  I do want to do it but I am definitly nervous.  Anyone ever done it before? How was it?

Re: Anyone been Skydiving?

  • My husband suprised me with a skydiving trip for my birthday last year! I had always wanted to go but was very reluctant to do it, hence the suprise....that way I couldn't back out! It was an incredible experience and I say if you have any desire to do it you should just go for it! You don't even have to face the scariest part (jumping out of the plane) because your tandem instructor does that for you! You just hold on and enjoy the view!

  • I have heard such great things about it and I really want to do it. My DH I think is too scared.  We were looking at the place in Cape Canaveral.  I may be doing it by myself but he said he'd drive there with me for support!  I need to just make the reservations and do it!

  • I did this for my 21st b-day and it was awesome.  I really want to do it again.  I did it at Skydive Deland.  Its the best 8 minutes.  If you wear contacts, make sure you have your goggles really tight.  Also, splurge and get the photographer.
  • I surprised DH for his 21st birthday a while back and took him sky diving. We both had talked about it, but never had really?committed. We dove out in Zepherhills and loved everyone minute of it. I agree with Star, definitely splurge and get the video/photo's. And don't make the mistake of wearing?earrings... even studs. It killed me the whole way down!

It's funny you asked about this, because I think DH and I will be going again at the end of they year for my little brother's 18th birthday. We promised him years ago that we would take him once he turned of legal age! ?

Just do it... it's a once in a lifetime experience!?

  • Nope...too afraid to give that one a try!
  • I think I am going to go at the end of the year now too.  I saw that you can get a video and I saw a sample one it looked so worth it.  I want to be able to get the video so if we wait till the end of the year I figure I can start saving some money towards it.  I think my brother is going to go with me because my DH isn't really interested in going.  We were looking at Skydive Space Coast in Cape Canaveral.  Thanks for all the info!!!

I'm definitly going to do it because it's on my "Bucket List" Big Smile
