St. Nicholas comes tonight!
My family is German, and according to German tradition, you leave your shoes out and if you have been good, St. Nicholas comes and puts chocolates and candies in your shoes....one of my favorite holiday traditions!

I wonder if I can just randomly start this tradition with my husband.
I just told DH that it is Sinterklass night, but not to put his boots out because Santa didn't plan ahead.
I always mean to have a little treat to put in his shoes, but the day sneaks up on me every year.
What a great thing to wake up to. I would eat the candies for breakfast.
St. Nicholas already came to our house today. Look what he brought:
