Anyone get to go to bowl games?

DH and I are going to be in Los Angeles for New Years visiting his brother's fam who wasn't able to buy tickets to come home to the midwest for the holidays.  If only Iowa didn't lose to Ohio State, we would have been able to see them at the Rose Bowl. I think we might still go to the Rose Parade, but obviously we can't make it to Miami for the Orange Bowl this year.

We got to go to a bowl all 4 years of college for free (Outback, Cap One, Outback, Alamo), since we were both in marching band. I wish we could go again.

Anyone going to go cheer their team on?

I'm hoping I get Cotton Bowl tix tomorrow - not holding my breath, though. Stupid ticket office didn't get my form the first time, so I have little faith I'll be able to get in this time around.

I really wanna go though! GO STATE!

My mom, dad, brother and I are heading to the Holiday Bowl to follow our 'skers! My husband and brother's wife can't go (work conflicts and pregnancy) so that's a bummer, but MrBout is awesome and insisted that I go! Can't wait!

I wish I could go, but unfortunately I'll have to be at work here in TX that monday morning.  I'm flying to Kentucky for Christmas and my shower is the same day as the game.  My mom said it was a good thing my shower was early because the second they drop me off at the airport they are driving to Nashville for the game.  I guess I can't complain.  I've been to the last 4 bowl games.

I'll be going to the Cotton Bowl. We booked our rooms last week and word is that all of the bowl request for tickets should be filled. So, yep!

Yep. The last time Georgia Tech was in a BCS bowl was almost 20 years before I was even born. Who knows when this will happen again! Plus it is DH's graduation present.

We will be at the Outback Bowl to see Auburn take on Northwestern.

DH is on the athletic staff at Auburn so we get a pretty sweet bowl package

I went to a D 2 school so we didn't get to have all of this fun. DH went to UF and even if they won, I highly doubt that we would have traveled to Ca. He better be still enjoying last January's trip to Miami. lol. We could also go to the Gator Bowl since we are in town, but wouldn't really care who was playing.

We'll be heading to New Orleans to watch the Sugar Bowl!! Go Bearcats! : )

I JUST got an e-mail from my dad about going to the Sugar Bowl.  He's a UC alum, so he can get tickets through the school.  The best part is the way New Year's falls, DH would get to go, too!

We will be in LA for Christmas and were originally flying home the 28th, but are going to try and change our plans to allow us to drive down to SD and fly out of SD back to Seattle. Hopefully we can make the changes. We went to the vegas bowl last year and it was so much fun; a lot of our friends from college went to last years bowl and will also be at the Holiday Bowl this year.

I'm going to try to convince my husband to trek out to New Orleans, but I don't know how successful I'll be. 

I don't think I've missed a bowl game since Meyer started with Florida, actually.  (Outback in 05, BCS NC-Glendale in 06, Capital One in 07, and BCS NC-Miami in 08.)  I'd be sad to miss this one, even if it is a 'consolation' bowl.

IF UGA went to the CFA Bowl we would have gone. Not sure we'll go to Shreveport, unless we can get some extra days off and make a side trip to New Orleans.

I would LOVE to be in NO for New Years... But hopefully, i'll have a newborn by then and not able to travel too much.

We will not be going to watch Mizzou in the Texas bowl (joke) vs Navy (blah).  I have to work at 2pm on New Year's day so we would have to leave very early on New Year's Day or even New Year's eve evening.  No thanks.

I'm half tempted to drive up to St. Louis to pick up my brother (a Texas fan) and trek out to Pasadena.  If for no other reason than to say we did.

I would love to go to the Gator Bowl. My team is playing, it's only a six-hour drive, and I have a free place to stay. But DH has to work, and I can't find anyone to go with me!

 DH and I went to the Sugar Bowl in 2006 and the Gator Bowl in 2007.

I'll be watching TCU and Boise State. We are going with a ton of people so it should be fun...even though we aren't playing a BCS team...
