What did you do this weekend??
Re: How was your weekend?
Two sorry K was sick. That sucks.
We had a pretty good weekend. Friends came over on Sat afternoon for a visit and that was fun.
Other than that we just hung out. My annoyance this weekend was I went shopping Sat night in the snow and forgot 2 cases of seltzer under the cart! SO annoyed with myself and thirsty too!
It was very good overall.
C had two different (long) meetings for two different final projects for her grad classes, so that was no fun. But we got some great holiday stuff done - a little shopping, lots of work on the cards, and I did some cleaning and finished decorating.
We also went to see my little sister in the play at her high school - she was fabulous (as the ghost of Xmas past in A Christmas Carol), and we had fun seeing some family there.
We got the grocery shopping done (including buying all the components of a hot fudge sundae for any future cravings
), and had a yummy stir fry for dinner last night.

We had a pretty good weekend. Saturday we got some work done on the car and had lunch with friends and their 4-year old. We did some holiday shopping and went to a co-worker's party in the evening.
Sunday, other than grocery shopping, we stayed in all day after sleeping in much later than usual. DW started on holiday cards while I gathered groceries. Then we ate yummy chili and put up the tree. We watched most of The Family Stone and all of Brothers and Sisters.
we had really nice, relaxing weekend.
Friday we had a blast at happy hour w/ A's coworkers then babysat for our friend's cutie baby (which was a breeze, he was an angel).
Saturday we slept in then went and picked up A's christmans/hanukkah present...a DVR! she was thrilled
Then we did some shopping and ran errands. We spent the afternoon gloriously in our pjs, sipping hot cocoa, listening to christmas music, and putting up all the holiday decor in the house. We took a little break to meet up with friends for dinner at my favorite italian restaurant then it was back to the holiday prep with some cookie baking.
Sunday we slept in again (yay!) and did some more cookie baking and holiday shopping. Then we went over my parents' house to help them put up the tree and all thier holiday decorations. We had dinner with them, then went home. Andrea spent the evening watching DVR-ed shows and I stayed up way too late decorating cookies (my first time decorating with royal icing and i'm hooked!)

We didn't do much this weekend. Unfortunately our whole clan is sick. Carol has bronchitis and Annie and I both have colds. Much sleeping was done around our house.
Other than that we just did some cleaning and ran a couple of necessary errands.

Saturday - L and I got up and took the kids to our community center for breakfast with Santa. When we got home, my friend and I left with the kids on our adventure to Philly while L stayed home and worked on her last paper for the semester. We drove up in a snow/rain/sleet storm, which wasn't too fun - but there was no traffic and the kids slept nearly the entire way. We went to the Please Touch Museum (AWESOME!) and met our former nanny there. It was the first time they have seen her since she left in July and seeing Gray run to her was priceless. I'd forgotten how good she is with him and his little personality quirks. We didn't make it to the lightshow at the Camden Children's Garden since it was so rainy and cold.
Sunday - I tried to let my friend sleep as late as possible (she doesn't have kids and isn't used to getting up at 6;30 on a Sunday!) by plying the kids with the Disney channel. We went to Macy's downtown and saw the Dickens Village (anamatronics that tell the Christmas Carol - really cute and free) and the big Macys light display. We took a short horse and carriage ride that the kids LOVED and then walked over to the Christmas Village (boring) and then to Reading Market for lunch (UGH - REALLY crowded and hard with 2 hungry preschoolers.) By then it was 2, so we headed home. Picked up Land home and went to Pei-Wei for dinner before going to the airport and coming home to put our 2 overly tired and whiny children to bed.
You should! It's really easy and so much fun :-)
We had a very productive weekend. We got the nursery (formerly our home office) almost completely emptied (one desk chair, a CPU, and a couple of paintings to go, and it will be completely empty!). It is amazing how huge the room looks without all our office furniture in it! (I guess three desks, two filing cabinets, two floor-to-ceiling bookcases, and all the random stuff that accumulates in a home office takes up more space than I imagined.)
We are thrilled to have gotten so much done, but we are both so sore! We were a couple of sad-looking old ladies last night, trading the heating pad back and forth.
At several points throughout the weekend, we marveled at those of you who do these back-to-back activity weekends all the time. We're so used to taking at least a day to just veg and do some basic house chores, we're in awe of those of you who push through tons of stuff every weekend!
IUI #3 gave us the best 2nd anniv. gift ever: 2 babies! (born 03/09/10)
Peanut and Little Man are getting so big! 2 years old already!
finally blogging again at This Will Be: An Adventure
its fun, you should defintiely try! it takes me a little longer than the usual, but the results are sooo much nicer looking so i think its worth it. just be prepared for LOTS of dishes.

We spent most of our weekend visiting family. We had lunch with S's mom, met my mom for a bit, ran some errands and then went to see my aunt and uncle. We put some final touches on decorations, worked on cards etc.
It was a nice weekend but LMC is giving us a run for our money. She is a true drama queen, she can turn it on and off like you wouldn't believe. If it weren't so loud, it would be amusing. PBS finally got some more teeth but handled it really well. The first two were hell but I guess the 3 month break in between 2 and 3 helped, she hardly made a fuss, it was just there Saturday after lunch.
I hope everyone who is sick is better sooon!
Friday night we went out with with friends had drinks and played pool. I had fun b/c the place we went was where me and M first met and she was a little tipsy PDA. It reminded me of old times though I was not amused.
Saturday it snowed and after we recovered we went shopping at the mall and then saw the Brothers movie. It was really F'ed up and made me cry like 3 times.
Sun I got the apartment cleaned up while M was at work. I have not been home much with school and work so I really had scrubbing to do.... Then when she came home we put up the tree and played some Rock Band. I really enjoyed staying in and spending time togeather this weekend.
We had a very relaxing and fun weekend with DW's parents in town. My mil can sometimes be a little hard to deal with, but she was so so loving and wonderful this weekend. I truly enjoyed having DW's folks visit!
Friday: DW's parents took us out to dinner. We had a great meal and spent the evening catching up. Later that night, we watched a movie and relaxed.
Saturday: We all woke up pretty early and headed out to IHOP (yummy eggnog pancakes for me!) and then did a little Christmas shopping. We planned to go see an ice show at the Gaylord Hotel, but it started snowing. After shopping we headed home, turned the Christmas lights on and spent the afternoon watching Christmas movies and the falling snow. Since Thanksgiving was with my family this year, I made a turkey breast and all the Thanksgiving trimmings for dinner that night. MIL who never really drinks had a very glasses of wine, and let's just say that put her in a GREAT mood. Very fun!
Sunday: DW made us all breakfast and then the inlaws headed back home. DW and I did a little more Christmas shopping, straightened up the house and then vegged the night away in front of the tv.
All in all, it was a really great weekend.

goodness! As usual, I am so impressed with your weekend activities. You are definitely the kind of mom I aspire to me someday.
Last weekend was one of the most relaxing I've had for awhile. Friday night I made cookie dough in anticipation for our awesome cookie baking party on Saturday. The party was really fantastic, just the right amount of people showed up and there were lots of bakers in the bunch (last year, I was the only one baking). It was really chill and the cookies were (mostly) super yummy. I highly reccomend these as really great rolling cookies and depositories of your royal icing experiments.
Sunday we went shopping for christmas presents and ended up just buying stuff for ourselves, which was fun if not particularly productive. The one low point was butch bra shopping. There's just no way to make that fun.
saturday we went on a date! :-D c's sister and her gf came over and spent the evening with monkey while we went to a hockey game, and then we decided to stop for a quick dinner on the way home and actually eat a hot meal together. it was nice, although the only thing that kept me from calling every half hour were the text updates from her sister!
yesterday we did some holiday shopping and got quite a bit done. i got most of the rest finished up today, which is good.
and i've been up with him the last few nights until after 2am. that isn't so fun.
