San Diego Job Market
San Diego Nesties, Can you give me a heads up? Now the tables have turned and My job is being transfered to San Diego and my husband will be looking for employement. I realize that California is having a hard time as is New York, but how is San Diego specifically?
My husband has a security/ law enforcement job history but since we already did not make it into the police acadamy over the summer. Local PD is out. Any suggestions?

Has he only tried SD Police or has he looked into the San Diego County Sheriff? They are separate entities. Escondido Police Department doesnt hire that often and they are one of the harder departments to get a job with.
As for security jobs, he will have a lot of competition from former military. Most of the security jobs out here dont pay very well.
Some industries are doing fine while others are not. What does your DH want to do?
