remote car starter q

should I buy one on my own and pay to get it installed?

do you think the DIY ones are easy enough?  not good as a gift idea?

or just buy one from a garage who will also install?

any thoughts/recs?

Re: remote car starter q

  • Boomer stereo came highly when I had mine installed.  I don't know the price though b/c K gave it to me as a Christmas present.  I'd suggest going to a place that sells and installs them.  This way you can hold them responsible for parts and labor should something happen. That's just my two cents though.

  • we got mine at a place that installs.  That way we know it's done right and if anything goes wrong we can take it back there and they'll fix it.
  • I got mine for a Christmas present and they bought it at Sears.  Sears doesn't install so I had to go to another place to get it installed.  I've never had a problem with it.  I don't think I would rec. one of the DIY installers.
