Bridal Shower game Prizes - Need affordable Ideas

Need suggestions for cheap/affordable Bridal Shower game prizes..

Also, What stores are good to get a $5 gcard for.. I was thinking Starbucks, Blockbuster..any others?

Re: Bridal Shower game Prizes - Need affordable Ideas

  • $5 gift cards . . . Panera, WaWa (or something of the like), SubWay, Tropical Smoothie

Affordable bridal shower prizes - B&BW has all their gift sets out right now and they are not to exspensive. Check the coupon board before you go, I got a spend $30 save $10 so I got three sets for the price of 2. Also yankee candle is having a sale and Kohls has picture frames on sale.

  • Bath & Body Works products are nice.  I always liked getting the pump soaps.

  • A set of notecards, small cosmetic bags, lotions/body wash, lip gloss, cocktail mixers, decorative wine glasses, tote bags and potted plants have been popular at showers I've attended.
  • Michael's craft store has $1 bins up front. They are filled with fun goodies that can be used for prizes. I've seen note cards, magentic grocery lists, candles, boxes, soap, ornaments, etc.
  • A box of chocolates always goes over well. You can also get cute, funky jewelry for pretty cheap at places like Target or WalMart. You can also sometimes get sets of martini or margarita glasses for real cheap at HomeGoods.

I'd skip the gift cards if you're only doing $5. That's hardly worth carrying around in your wallet.

You can't go wrong with this!

  • I would go with anything edible.  Like a pp said, $5 almost isn't worth it for a gc.

  • Edible is a good idea. I went to one where the prizes were flowers. African Violets, specifically, but you could get whatever is in season and on sale. Try Lowe's or even Walmart. If it's for this time of year, poinsettias are great, lovely, etc etc and you can find small adorable ones. Or little itty bitty christmas trees!

  • My bridal shower was themed "Kim's Favorite Things". The winners received a plate of three of my favorite cookies. She wrapped the plate in some cool cellophane and ribbon. I thought that was kind of cool!

  • I *love* BBW pump soaps too.  Not a big fan/user of anti-bacterials and hand creams, but everyone could use a nice pump soap in their bathroom!

I disagree a bit.  If it's Starbucks, that's totally worth it.  I'm one of those people that rarely treats myself to a latte so I'd carry it until I had a major craving.   By the way, can you see my post above and share some of the games you're doing?

  • Oh and I agree about Michael's dollar spot for prizes as well as Ulta has a 5/$5 section right now.  I got several prizes from there.
