Need some help! My brother is looking for an engagement ring and doesn't know much about the stores in the Nashville area. He's looked at your regular Zales and Jareds. Any suggestions or know where he can get a good deal? Not wanting to spend an outrageous amount.

My friend loves loves loves, and really raves about Genesis Diamonds. She emphatically tells me when my boyfriend begins looking, that he/we should go there.
I would highly highly recommend Shane Co. They have the best prices and the best service for sure. We bought my fiance's wedding band there and got a great deal. Also, their salespeople DO NOT work on commission like everywhere else.
I strongly discourage you to use Genesis Diamonds. They advertise that they have the best prices, when actually they don't. We looked there for wedding rings and all their prices were at least $400 higher than Shane Co. (or anywhere else for that matter). The salespeople at Genesis are very "uppity" and don't want care to work with people who are buying anything less than a $10,000 ring.
