Girls I really need all your thoughts and prayers please
I just received a phone call from my aunt. Apparently my dad is having open heart surgery this Friday, and decided not to tell me. The news hit me like a ton of bricks. As soon as my aunt told me I just started crying here at work. I know I need to be positive, but the idea that something could happen to my dad and the possibility that he could no longer be with me freaked me out. I'm still on pin and needles. My mom is trying to get me and my brother airplane tickets to go see him. She's not helping the situation. She keeps telling me that she's been having a very bad feeling about all this and feels that we need to be next to my dad for all of this because it could be the last time we see him. Please, please, keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I need all the miracles I can get.

First off T&P to you and your dad. I wish him the best of luck with his surgery and RECOVERY.
Second they have come a LONG way with heart surgery. Take me as an example 6 1/2 years ago I had open heart surgery and I know they have come even further with surgeries since then. I only spent 4 days in recovery i the hospital apposed to 2 weeks years ago, with that said, I'm not saying don't be worried but he has a great chance at coming home.

Thank you girls for all your T&P. It means the world to me, more than you'll ever know.
Just booked a flight. Leaving Friday and coming back Sunday. I plan to be in the hospital for every second that he is there.
Surgery is in Mexico, so it will be a little scary having to travel alone but it doesn't matter I just need to be with my dad right now.
