Re: Poll of the Decade (stolen from P&CE)
1. Favorite/least favorite movie: No clue
2. Favorite/least favorite song: I don't know about favorite but I'm really happy with the latest Reba album. I feel like she is finally starting to get back to her early 90s stuff and away from dull stuff she was doing.
3. Favorite personal moment or accomplishment: The moment K and I saw our baby's heartbeat and it felt real.
4. Favorite political moment: The teabaggers have been hilarious to watch.
5. Favorite/least favorite book: I read all of the adventures of Stephanie Plum and laughed through each book.
6. Bonus: Where were 10 years ago? In college. I had just joined my sorority and was about to meet the guy I would spend the next 4 years dating.
Where will you be 10 years from now? I'll have a 10 year old, maybe younger kids, maybe not. I hope K and I will still be enjoying our time together as much as we do now and that we have more smiles than frowns.
1. Favorite/least favorite movie: The Color Purple (fav)/No idea about least fav - but the last movie I slept through in a theater was Harry Potter. Since then, I have refused to go to movies I really don't want to see.
2. Favorite/least favorite song: Pachebels Canon - the George Winston version (fav)/Any loud metal music (least fav.)
3. Favorite personal moment or accomplishment: Having the boys. The entire day was surreal. We entered the hospital a family of two and by 11am, my wife was holding our sons and we were a family of 4.
4. Favorite political moment: Obama victory. Everyone was so into it.
5. Favorite/least favorite book: Time of Wonder (kids book) - but makes me think of my summers in Maine with my grandparents. No idea about least - typically if I don't like a book, I stop reading it. Although I was forced to read a lot of books I didn't like in school.
6. Bonus: Where were 10 years ago? Where will you be 10 years from now? 10 years ago, I was still a bit in love with someone who was mentally unhealthy and a complete wreck. I was trying my best to have a long distance relationship with said person and my friends were watching the train wreck. In 8 months, I would meet my wife and I was (mostly) be over the other girl. In 10 years, I'll have 13.5y old boys (teenagers, oh my), L will hopefully be done with the dissertation (ha ha ha), I have no idea where we'll be living (this area or if we'll have moved), and I might still be sitting in this office chair at work.

Ten years ago I was in college-- Dec of 1999 found me struggling with my sexuality in a big way while falling in love for the first time. Ten years from now I hope DW and I are raising a bunch of kids, spending quality time with our families and doing work that makes us feel alive. I really hope that we're still going out on dates and as connected and happy as we are today.
1. Favorite/least favorite movie: I see so few movies, I have no idea what I've seen, let alone what would be a favorite from the last 10 years. I do remember really disliking Gladiator.
2. Favorite/least favorite song: Favorite -- probably the song we used for our last dance at our wedding, "Home To You." Least favorite -- I don't know specific song names, but I dislike angry rap in general.
3. Favorite personal moment: Watching the love my wife has for our twins grow on a daily basis. What an awesome journey this is!
4. Favorite political moment: Being down on the Mall when Obama was sworn in. I most loved realizing that I will be able to tell our (mixed-race) kids that they can grow up to be anything they want to be, and actually mean it.
5. Favorite/least favorite book: Favorite -- anything I got to read for fun. Least favorite -- theory texts I had to read in grad school.
6. Bonus: Where were 10 years ago? Where will you be 10 years from now? Ten years ago I was working as a research analyst at a DC research institute and contemplating going to grad school. Ten years from now I could very well be sitting behind this same desk, doing this same job. I am going to relish "Mommy" being my most important title from this point forward.
IUI #3 gave us the best 2nd anniv. gift ever: 2 babies! (born 03/09/10)
Peanut and Little Man are getting so big! 2 years old already!

1. Favorite/least favorite movie: Well, it didn't come out in the last 10 years, but I saw Annie Hall for the first time within the past 10 years and it is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Least favorite - maybe Phantom of the Opera. I remember going to see it with C's parents and being miserable! Loved the stage play - hated the movie.
2. Favorite/least favorite song: I am far too much of a music lover to have one favorite song of the past 10 years!! Ditto for least favorite, lol - there has been a LOT of bad music in the past 10 years...I'm looking at you, Miley Cyrus!
