Bit of a personal question..

Don't feel that you have to answer it.

Are any of you Catholic? I just found out about Catholic Young Adults (www.catholicya.org) and was thinking about going to one of their events and was wondering if anyone has participated in this group and if you like it.

TIA

Re: Bit of a personal question..

  • I am not catholic. I am not even that religious for that matter.....But, I do have some family and friends that are very involved in their church groups and have made some great friends that way.

My aunt and her family attend a catholic church and they have always had tons of friends they made through church. During lent they do weekly fish frys and dunring the rest of the year they always have picnics and fundraising events they attend. My cousins have even done some mission trips. It could be lots of fun.

Try it out. You dont have anything to lose right?

  • I am also Catholic - not practicing though. I grew up going to Good Sheperd and now am a member of St. Mary Mag. I think it's a great idea if you and the hubby are interested. I agree with Mrs. DMC - you have nothing to lose right?!
  • Just popping in to say that I'm Christian ;)  That's all.  Hehe.

  • Thanks ladies. :-)
  • I'm Catholic as well.  I'm a member of St. James.  (Though I got married at St. Mary Mag, long story)

Anyway, I love St. James.  Its so beautiful and the masses are done very well by Father McCormick, who married us.  I'm not really practicing either though I'd like to get in the habit of going to mass regularly.  I really do feel like I get something out of it when I go.
