Ugly X-mas Sweater Party
Hello Everyone,
So my DH and I are hosting our first holiday get together with our friends. We are having an Ugly Christmas Sweater theme, where everyone will wear their ugliest X-mas sweater. We were thinking of making it a contest and having awards for "Tackiest Sweater" , "Ugliest"....
I am worried about our space being a little too small for the festivities, any suggestions? We are having the party at our 2 bed/2 bath condo, about 1300 sq. feet. I want to keep our master bedroom off limits to the party..
Oh, we also have a balcony with a nice patio set....we are asking our each guest to bring a bottle of wine and having a wine tasting during the festivities...hopefully they all bring something different...
Food: Pigs in a blanket, cheese platter, tamales, enchiladas....
Please help me figure out how many invites to send out, and feel free to leave any comments or suggestions. I really want this to be a fun and memorable party!

If you're doing the wine tasting, I think that you need to give your guests more direction. Maybe assign each a region or a specific type of wine. Also, you're going to need a lot of cups. Also, I would serve food that wouldn't compete with the wine, which rules out the tamales and enchiladas.
As far as the space goes, just make sure that you have ample seating. If you don't, look into floor pillows.
I agree on giving some more direction on the type of wine to bring and the food. But if your guests aren't big wine drinks you can still do the foods you want. You know them best. But i have to say a wine tasting with more than 12 people can get tricky.
I agree too! A bottle only has about 5 glasses in it, so unless they bring a couple bottles of the same kind, you might want to keep your number of guests low.
And simple Mediterranean food would probably be best to go with all the varieties of wine.
