I liked a movie I saw with Vanessa Williams called "A Diva's Christmas Carol" but I don't know if you can rent that or not.
Meet Me In St. Louis has one of my favorite Christmas songs but I'm not sure it really is a Christmas movie.
I know some obscure ones....
Nester the long eared chirstmas donkey, Glofriends Christmas, Mickey's Christmas Carol, A Muppets Family Christmas, Twas the night before Christmas (cartoon with mice).
We have them taped off of TV from the 80's. I still watch them every year!
My all time fave is the original How The Grinch Stole Christmas. I also love Miracle on 34th Street, The Little Match Girl, The Polar Express, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, and Elf.
These aren't classic but still fun to watch at Christmastime:
Last Holiday with Queen Latifah & LL Cool J - funny and a good story to it...
and
Serendipity with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale - loved this one, it's funny and romantic, set around Christmastime.
