My great weekend...

Just wanted to share.....This weekend was great. I competed in my first Triathlon. It was at Moss Park. I was super nervous but after it was all over it was the best time.

The course was a 1/4 mile swim, 12.4 mile bike, and 2.75 mile run. I finished in 1 hour 45 mins, putting me at 6th place in my age group.

 :)

  • Thats amazing!! Good for you, I always wanted to do something like that but never had the discipline to actually train for it.  I hear it becomes a little addicting so be careful!! hehe!!

I wish I new the name but there is a book about training for these events. I think what makes it so addicting is the confidence you recieve from finishing a task like that. There is nothing more gratifying than accomplishing something with your own body.

I used to do the Firefighters Combat Challenge. It was hard and it hurt so bad everytime I did it, but yet felt so good to cross the finish line.

  • WOW!!!!!  Awesome!  Congrats I know you are so proud of your accomplishments - we are.
  • Wow, that is amazing! Congrats on that tremendous accomplishment!

Hahaha that was my same reaction! Congrats!!! That's an admirable accomplishment!

  • Wow! Kudos to you! I admire those who can get through these things, I could never do it. I want to try to do the half marathon at Disney one time. That's a life goal of mine.?
  • Congrats! You should plan to do the Danskin at Disney next year. It's about the same on the distances, but all women and very uplifting (well, until some old lady passes you on your bike...not like that happened to me, just saying!). I've heard good things about the Clermont tri series, although it's hilly for the bike.
  • Congrats girly!  You rock!
  • Wow!  Awesome!  I don't think I'll ever be in great shape like that again.  heehee
