Re: POLL: Girls that got married in the PHX/Scottsdale/Tempe area
Venue: Aldea at Tlaquepaque at 41st ave and Peoria.
Number of guests: I had about 80-85, but the all-inclusive included 100.
Total budget spent: The all-inclusive package was $7,500 and included venue for wedding and reception, setup and cleanup, ceremony decorations, food, cake, DJ, photographer (we got the CD of all images 1 month after), centerpieces, flowers... All we had to pay for out of pocket was wedding attire, invitations, favors, hair and makeup. We had a morning wedding with a brunch/lunch reception. It was MUCH cheaper this way, and then we had an afterparty at my parents house later that night.
Any favorite vendors: Aldea, Fleur di Lis for cake, Kiss the Camera Photography.
Any vendors that you didnt like: none!
Venue: Sanctuary Golf Course at Westworld (a golf course at 106th St & McDowell Mountain Rd, not the big fancy Sanctuary at Camelback mountain)
Number of guests: 110 (I think)
Total budget spent: About $15,000
Any favorite vendors: Heather & Archie with Cosey Photography. They were so fun to work with and the pictures came out great, we just had some issues after the fact. So if you are a patient person, they are great, if not, maybe not the best to work with!
Also, the venue itself was great. Robin & Kareena were the coordinators there and they were absolutely amazing. From the beginning they were so easy to work with, always responded to me about questions right away, let my parents pay in increments, and the service on the actual wedding day was fantastic. Our guests even commented on how nice the staff was and how the service was great. Their staff not only put up all my decorations and centerpieces just how I wanted them, but they had people assigned during the reception to basically cater to the bride and groom, from serving us our meal (the meal was buffet style) to getting us drinks when ours ran out! Also, the food there was really good, not typical "wedding buffet" food. I still have friends who talk about how good it was! So, I cannot say enough good things about Sanctuary!
Any vendors that you didnt like: Scottsdale Cupcakes & Bakery. We wanted cupcakes and we didn't want to spend a huge amount on cake since a lot of people never even eat cake at weddings. The actual cupcakes were amazing but the whole process with them was a nightmare. My dad ended up picking up the cupcakes the day of the wedding because they suddenly said they didn't deliver (they had told us they had).
