Which one :)

Ok, I got so many great ideas on locations that now I'm not sure which one to use :)

 Here are the choices.

1.) The Raddison hotel in philly gave the ok to do photos  http://www.radisson.com/philadelphiapa  the lobby is gorgeous

2.) 30th st station...didn't contact them yet but I'm sure they would be ok with it

and would you do one of those over Rowan even if the weather isn't too bad? we have 2 hrs to get from the church to the photo location and then back to Adelphias for the 7:30 cocktail hour so I want to make sure the location will work and we won't be stuck in a huge crowd.

Re: Which one :)

  • Not to sound like "Debbie Downer" but keep in mind that you will not actually have 2 hours when it comes down to it.  I swore we built in PLENTY of time to do photos after our ceremony so we could attend our cocktail hour.  We ended up making it to the very end of cocktail hour.  Just food for thought.

Good Luck choosing a gorgeous location!

  • Yeah I know it actually won't be 2 hrs....our ceremony is over at 5 and then we have half an hour to do photos in the church and then from 5:30 till 7:30 to do photos...so we actually have 2 1/2 hrs after the ceremony but I cut out time for church photos....we also aren't doing a recieving line.   I don't care if we aren't there at the start of the cocktail hour as long as we are there for atleast half of it.

I figure if it takes 30 minutes up and back to philly to Adelphias in Deptford (which it probably won't take) then it leaves an hour for actual pictures.

  • I would personally do 30th street station.   Anyone can have pictures in a random hotel lobby, but 30th street station is dramatic and a landmark ).  If you have the time, I would go for it!
  • Also remember that your ceremony will not start on time.  It doesn't matter what you do it will not start on time.  I'd take out 15-30 minutes for that.  Also remember that it is NYE and bridge traffic is probably going to suck.  Also you have to think about where the limo is going to park while your getting your pictures taken.
  • Natalie: Good point about the parking.....as far as traffic, we drove into the city last NYE to see how the traffic was at 6pm and there was none so that I'm not too worried about...most things don't start until 8 or later in the city

     Now i'm confused :) Hmmm

  • I wouldnt be too concerned with limo parking.  A lot of times, limos can just drive around and pick you up at a specified time.  Just make sure you have the driver's # and they have yours or your MOH/BM or photog's  .
  • I think I'd try Rowan if the weather is nice only because it may be a little more convenient than heading into the city.  If not, I say do the Radisson.  My friend's pictures were gorgeous and I actually looked there for our wedding (it was ridiculously expensive) but when I went, it was in between Christmas and New Year's and the place looked absolutely gorgeous.  GL!
  • I vote 30th Street. If you need to know where the limo can park check with summerpastel since she did it recently. Just don't rush your pics. Take your time they last forever. We said we would do more later but didn't and I regret that.

  • I would go with 30th Street.  It's so iconic and amazing.  There are probably so many places to take photos that would be awesome.  Do you have time this weekend to go look at both places?
  • I definetly don't want to rush pictures that's my biggest concern with going into the city....is summerpastel bride on here?  I have to try and get a hold of her
  • I vote 30th St unless you have a real sentimental connection to Rowan. I will almost always choose sentimental over dramatic (you can get dramatic  in a TTD session).

  • I vote 30th street as well.  But I also think no matter where you end up, Kamila will make your pictures beautiful!
