so bored. what to do?
we've lived here all our lives (burbs) and are just plain bored. DH has bad knees & can't do too much walking, which is typically what we used to do around the city. I need some ideas of new things to do besides museums, fests, bars. For example, I only went to Northerly Island concert for 1st time last summer (it was awesome to be outside), never been to Ravinia, never been to a good city flea market (with furniture & cool stuff that is, not some old person's rusty crap), never been to a beach in the city, never been to Lincoln Park Zoo. I'd also like things to do in the suburbs. went to the Kane County Flea Market last month for 1st time which was a nice change of scenery. any other ideas of what to do around here?

Maybe a wine tasting. Not sure what burb you're in, but there are a few wine tasting places in dowtown Downers Grove and Westmont.
Or you could take a cooking class or some other class at a junior college.
Long Grove is great. The have an applefest in the fall and a strawberry fest and chocolate fest, too.
I was going to suggest the Kane County Flea and Ravinia, as well.
At all interested in the Bristol Renaissance Faire? Not sure what burb you're in.
