In honor of Manny's comment...

...on my L&D post...

I honestly believed I am one of the most recognized CFL Nesties out there.  Seriously, at least once a month someone will yell out my name and scare me ;)  I've run into Snj, Mrs.Nikki, Srcain, PMR and a few other ladies within the last couple of weeks and it always surprises me that someone recognizes me based off of a picture.

Heck, when I worked at the hospital I had a nurse run me down one day to tell me hello and how she had seen me on the Knot. ;)

But because I'm so quiet, I usually won't talk and honestly I'm so bad with names I can't remember who is who ;)

Re: In honor of Manny's comment...

  • I'm horrible with names myself. Even worse remembering peoples id names with real names. For some reason though I think you have a very memorable face. When I met you at Mimi's I knew who you were right away. You have a very pretty & unique face. I don't mean unique in a Michael Jackson way...you are just very very pretty. I will stop before I make myself sound even more creepy then I already do!

I ran in to someone at a Gymboree class one afternoon who asked if I was on the Nest. She didn't remember my face, but she did remember seeing Brendon's picture! I am not a real chatty in person though and never thought to get her name or even have a conversation with her during the rest of the class!

  • I was thinking after reading Nery's comment that we should have some sort of code word for when we run into a Nestie IRL to take care of the awkwardness.  I would feel so weird saying "Are you on the Nest?"
  • Oh get over yourself...haha.I am just kidding. The first time I came to a nest gtg you are the first person I saw and recognized!!! Own it girl, you're a hottie!

You're kind of a big deal! People know you!(i am quoting one of my favorite movies....Anchorman)

Steph, you do have a memorable face. I guess you have one of those faces that you always look familiar...at least you do to me, and I've never met you...lol. Thanks for the thread about my comment, I've been wondering about that though.

I went to IKEA on Saturday and I was telling Manny...I wonder if I'll see one of the Nesties there. Then he asked me how will you know...after a pause all I could come up with ...huh...I don't know. LOL

Jacki- ITA. It takes a lot for me to go up to someone. I'm always afraid I'll get the wrong person.

  • I always think that when I'm out anywhere, that I wonder if I'll see any Nesties. It makes me feel a little pathetic (NOT trying to insult anyone!!!) Tongue Tied But then I realize that I'm not likely to recognize them anyway. I also wonder about lurkers too, if people I know IRL lurk here.
