sooooo i decided that i might want to join a gym. key word might. haha....does anyone belong to a gym in the far SW area? or know of any good ones?
Re: gym?
Where SW are you looking?
There's a new 24hour fitness built SE (on mcloughlin so you'd have to cross 26) which is pretty nice. I'm not sure what the rate is there but we paid $200/person for 1 year membership at 24HF with access to all locations so it's about $16/month. 24HF offers lower rates if you pay for the year, only cost-effective if you plan on actually using it. It would be crappy to pay ahead and end up moving too far from one or not liking it.
I looked into LA Fitness but the sales people were very pushy and I didn't like the hours.
If you're interested in 24 hr fitness and seriously want a membership to last a while, I suggest buying it at Costco.. WAY cheaper! Works out to $12.45 a month per person, but it's a 2 year membership

do either of you belong to 24 hour fitness? if so, do you like it?

I belonged to 24 hr fitness when I lived in Spokane and I liked it a lot. I really liked that I could go well, 24/7.. I worked a lot of weird shifts back then (like, 1pm-9pm, 3pm-11pm, etc..) and would go to the gym after work and like, NO ONE was there.. was nice Before that, I went to Bally's in d/t Portland and I liked them, but didn't like that they didn't have a ton of locations. I also worked at 24 hr fitness (in the kids club) out in Tigard for a while a few years ago and it was just an overall pretty good experience
