Towns to live near Carlisle?
We are thinking of relocating to Carlisle area for husband's job. We are originally both from PA but not near this area, but are currently living in another state. Any thoughts on good school districts as we have two small children; neighborhoods for families, etc. Thank you for any input you can offer. Happy Holidays!
Re: Towns to live near Carlisle?
Well there aren't to many bad school districts... really around carlisle there are Carlisle School District (which is big but just cause it is spread out), Boiling Springs, and Cumberland Valley. My father used to work in Carlisle and we live in Dillsburg -- it took about a 1/2 hour... really most places just west of Harrisburg have pretty direct routes to Carlisle where the average travel time would be 1/2 to 45 mins. We have some really cute towns, Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, some places that are a little more spread out but have a great small town feel, Dillsburg and Carlisle. Also if you wanted to go further West there is Upper Adams School District which would be Bigglerville and getting into Gettysburg.
So this probably didn't help very much, but I guess what I am trying to say is you really can't pick a bad spot around that area...
