In the downtown Chicago area.  I am in River North.  I've been going to the Northwestern OB/GYN department (676 St. Clair, 14th floor) for the past 5 years.  It's been OK, but I've found if you have issues, you get passed around from doc to doc (depending on who is available at the time).  Also, they always try to book me with NP's for follow up.

I'm looking for a physician (male or female) that sees patients in their private practice.

Love, love, love mine.  Her name is Amy Hoffman.  She's located at Diversey and Sheridan.  I dont have her number on me, but I'll reply again when I do.  Small practice.  Great doctor.  My only complaint is that I can't use her as my OB because we want to have Prentice as our hospital.

I go to Timothy Garvey (he is also at Northwestern) and I LOVE him - he's fantastic.  I switched over to Northwestern about two years ago and I have not one complaint about him.  He is in the Lakeshore building - I think it's 620 N. Lakeshore on the 8th floor.  He takes new patients as well.

Good question!  I'm in the west loop and was just about to start my search as well!  Sorry I can't offer anyone, but I look forward to stalking the responses!!

I see Patricia Katz but I think she might be in the practice you are referring to!

I go to Dr. Murthy at the Women's Group of Northwestern based on a recommendation that I received here.  I liked her a lot.

Northwestern Womens Health Assoc in the 680 LSD buliding is great, I see Regina Belmonte but all of them are well versed, smart physicians that provide excellent care. I am in Naperville and tried switching to a practice out here but was unhappy and am now back at NW.
