Well, it could be one pirate and one ninja because I had a friend who had twins and she had one of each...
Heheh, couldn't resist.
I cracked up when I read this, because for about 20 minutes this afternoon, the ultrasound tech thought we WERE having one of each! He said boy for the first one, and then that the second one looked like a girl.
I just stared at him in shock and asked him if he could check again from a different angle - I mean, they're in the same gestational sac, sharing a placenta, so we know they're identical. You can have boy/girl identical twins, but it's extremely rare (I'm talking literally like one in a billion). And all I could think was, "Oh god...MIL will be insufferable after this..."
But then a while later, that twin shifted position and he could get a better view, so he announced that it was boys 2, girls 0. *whew!*

OMG, this cracks me up! If you had been that one in a billion, oh man, I'm sure the whole world would never ever hear the end of it from your MIL.
Now you get to start shopping for pirate-specific stuff! We still haven't bought anything for ours but John's mom seems to be doing our share of shopping so I think we're good for now, lol. She just came back from a trip to Mississippi and said that she picked up a onesie from the Hard Rock over there. We also put her on speakerphone this morning and let her 'talk' to the baby. She was like, 'It's grandma!! Hi baby!"
You're totally going to have to be spoiled on Mother's Day. Ben, your two pirates, and even all of your furbabies are boys. I think they'll have to think of an extra special gift for you in May!
The only thing we've bought so far is a changetable - nothing fun.
We do have our eye on these AWESOME wooden blocks from thinkgeek though...along with like 5 onesies from them too lol. Oooooh and I just noticed this Guide to Pirate Parenting! We're big ole nerds. 
A for appendages, lol!! Your kids are going to have the coolest toys on the block.
Did you see the Star Trek uniform onesies too? Ooooh, and shrinky dink robots! Omg, and there's even a Lego digital camera. We might have to get that for our boy when he's old enough.
