Hi, I'm new here (and to Orlando).
We have our first water bill and our reclaimed water took over 20,000 gallons to water our VERY small yard.
Do any of you use reclaimed water? How many gallons do you average a month? I'd really appreciate your help. Our new house has many problems and a water leak would not surprise me but I'm hopeful that this is normal.
Thanks!
Jennifer
Re: Reclaimed Water
Wow! That's a lot of water! Our HOA only allows us to use 17,000 gallons a month to water the lawn (a decent size, too). I'm not sure whether or not we use reclaimed (I'm thinking no) water, but we've adjusted the timing and water flow on the sprinklers to help decrease the amount of water to less than 17,000. Something as simple as changing the timing from watering for 19 minutes to 15 minutes makes a big difference!
Hope everything goes well with the house. Hopefully this helped you out!
Hi there. I don't have an answer to your question because I don't think I've ever even looked at our water bills, but I just wanted to welcome you to Orlando and to the board!
We moved here from Massachusetts. We like it much better here, though I could do without most of the thunderstorms.
I'm just worried that we are using a lot of water. I know it's reclaimed water but I don't want to waste it, kwim?
I love this board, I started with the Buying a Home board for advice when we were building and then found this one, I love hearing about the great places to go out to dinner and stuff to do, it's helping me learn the area, so Thanks!
