clicky poll: Best batteries?

In your experience which batteries last longest?

(we're talking non-rechargeable here)

[Poll]
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

Re: clicky poll: Best batteries?

  • It depends a lot on what you're using it for.

That, and keep in mind that each battery manufacturer makes multiple battery types.  Duracell has the Coppertop, Ultra Digital, and ProCell battery types (all in AA size).  Energizer has the MAX (regular), Advanced Lithium, and Ultimate Lithium (all in AA size).

  • I guess I'm just asking in general if anyone has a preference between the 2 major brands.

  • No real preference.  Most of what I use on a regular basis has built-in batteries, so I don't buy them very often.  When I do, I just grab whichever of the two big ones is cheaper.  I stay away from the off-brand ones mostly because they can't provide the same power (different from the 1.5 V) as the high-end brands.
  • Most things I have are rechargeable w/built in batteries, but for things that aren't rechargeable, I use Walgreen's brand and they are just as good as the name brand ones (IMO).
