I need ideas!
Help! My H's birthday is January 3rd. I want to do something special for him (maybe a surprise party), but being so close to New Years parties and whatnot, I'm afraid everyone will be partied out already. I asked him what he wanted, but he just says "don't worry about it, I never do anything for my birthday. It's just a bad time of year."
Being in a long distance relationship before we were married, this will be the first of his birthdays that I get to spend with him. I want to do something!! Any ideas??? Thanks in advance!

My bday is Dec 22 - I understand. If I got a party as a kid, it was in mid-January. Most times though it was (and still is) just dinner with family.
With that in mind, I'd try to throw him a cocktail party in mid-Jan. Mid-January can be SO boring and depressing, ugh. Maybe MLK weekend?

This sounds like a great idea. If you're worried about the date, I'm sure it'd be fine to do it a week late. Besides, it would probably be easier for folks to do it at least a week afterwards.
