What Nintendo DS game for a 12 y/o girl?

I am buying gifts for a 12 y/o girl that I don't know. One of the items on the list is "DS game-kitty cat". Does that mean Hello Kitty? Any suggestions on a popular DS game for a 12 y/o girl (even if it doesn't have a kitty cat)? TIA!

What kinds of games does she play now? Puzzle, platform, shooter? It helps to know what she has so you will know what she likes.
The kitty cat game won't be Hello Kitty. It would be one of those "raise a pet" games. There are several on the market under different names, shame she didn't put exactly which one she wanted. Are you buying online or in person? If you are going in person, just ask the dude behind the counter for a cat game for the DS and he will point you in the right direction.
I got my daughter two in this series.... I don't mind her playing on her DS but I like her brain to be challenged a bit.
There is "Petz: Catz 2" and "Petz: Catz Clan" for DS.
Other suggestions: Cooking Mama, iCarly, MySims: Agents and the Charm Girls Club games.
