Shower centerpieces

I am giving a bridal shower in Dec.  I'm thinking about centerpieces.  We will have probably 3 long rectangle 8-top tables.  I have a bunch of these glass vases left over from my wedding and was hoping to use them somehow (obviously without the floating flowers).  Any ideas?  Colors: Fushia/white.  Kiss theme (lips).  I was thinking something with floating candles...maybe??  Any links or creative ideas out there?

Anyone can be cool, but awesome takes practice!

Re: Shower centerpieces

  • Unfortunately, I can't see your photo, so not sure if this would work depending on the shape... but how about favors in the vase?  Nicely packed bags with pretty ribbons with cookies/candies inside?  Just a thought.

IMO, floating candles would only work if you have dim lighting in the room.  Not sure if that's what you had in mind.

How about a vase full of Hershey's kisses to go with the kiss theme?  You could use some "filler" like hot pink tissue paper or the hot pink paper shreds to fill up the bottom of the vase.

     Good luck!

  • Like the idea of Hershey kisses and pink/fushia shreds of paper.

    I'll work on the picture.

I was also thinking of doing something with pointsetta's.  Any ideas there?

  • Also, candles are a no go.  Found out today that the place we are having it doesn't allow candles/fire. Boo.

Maybe white Poinsettia with a hot pink ribbon around it.  I would stay away from red thought, too Xmas-y.  Perhaps you can find hot pink confetti to toss on the tables around the plants as well.

  • Don't they still sell those wax lips you could get as a kid? That would be a cool idea to tie in wax lips and hershey kisses.
