i need gift help
i was thinking of getting my sister and BIL some of these really yummy jars of gourmet olives from crate and barrel, an olive serving dish and an olive spoon for Christmas. But I want to get them something else wtih it, something that would complement it really well... what would you do? Any of my foodie gals or wives of chefs be able to help out with some ideas?? I was thinking of cheese? maybe some wine or even some vodka? The thing is, for their bday this year(they're a day apart) I got them a bottle of effen vodka and a vodka cookbook... i was trying to do something a little different.
help, please!!

How about like a martini kit? I'm trying to think of things that "go with olives" and that's the first thing I thought of! LOL
Maybe some martini glasses (they sell them at pretty good prices at Crate&Barrel, especially the outlet at Sawgrass). A martini how-to book and some cool tooth picks to out the olives on.

i found some cool toothpicks from c&b, too... but i have already gotten them martini glasses, a bar tools set, vodka, vodka cookbook... they're drinkers! i was thinking for food related items, though. i might get them another cookbook or maybe like some cheese and crackers...
i'll probably just get them some booze again. lol
Maybe another appetizer dish? Like since you got olives and an olive serving dish, then maybe a cheese platter with knives and some cheese as well.
