Austin Nesties
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

FB security change

This was posted by one of my FB friends and I checked it out and its really true. For those like myself that don't know, indexing allows your information on FB that isn't private to be searchable by search engines. Thought I would share :)

"Facebook is automatically indexing all your info on Google. That allows everyone to view it. To change this option, go to Settings --> Privacy Settings --> Search --> then UN-CLICK the box that says 'Allow indexing'."

Re: FB security change

  • can you not keep certain groups or lists of friends from seeing your entire friend list anymore?  for example, i have a co-workers list of people that is really restricted as to what they can see.  but now, apparently, they can see all of my friends.  i don't want them to.  is there a way to restrict a certain group from seeing all of your friends?
