We are getting one for Xmas & I'm wondering which game(s) to start out with. I keep hearing EA Sports Active is better than Wii Fit but DDR3 looks like a lot of fun. Plus a cousin of mine lost 75 lbs when she became addicted to that game, lol. Could be a fun way to lose some lbs.
Re: Best Wii games?
Are you looking for something active? I've never played Sports Active or Sports Resort, but from reading people's posts on different boards, they seem to like it. I have the wii fit and I like it. Most of it is quite easy, but you will probably be sore the next morning. They now also have the Wii fit plus. I haven't tried that one yet, but I want to.
For non-active games.. Mario kart, New Super Mario Bros
We like Mario Kart and prefer to play it with the steering wheel accessory (it can be done without it though).
I've been using Active for a few months and have lost ~ 20 pounds...I love it! I'm hoping to get the next Active More Workouts for Christmas in addition to the Biggest Loser for Wii (which had decent reviews).
We have the Wii Fit and the balance board is fun for the sports they have on it but I'm not too impressed with the cardio it has to offer. The yoga and strength training are good. We also have Wii Fit Plus and there are some fun new workout games on that one.
If you want to go about shooting bad guys, The Conduit rocks.
I still love Wario Ware Smooth Moves - - micro games will give you a good sense of what the Wiimote will do.
I am the 99%.
