Re: Cooking Blog

  • Thanks for sharing!  Just from a quick scan, it looks like most of your recipes don't require a lot of prep time or cook time...which is what I need right now!  I will definitely be checking it out in more detail later.
  • Thanks LeeAnn! Yes, I love to cook, but I don't like spending all day cooking! I like to make easy but delicious meals! You should try the Spinach Tortellini soup... SOOOOO GOOD! That is if you like everything that is in the soup. This one can be made in no time... and depending on how picky your daughter is you might be able to sneak in some veggies too! I keep all the ingredients on hand in case I'm craving for it or want a quick easy meal! You can also add shredded or cubed chicken breast to it to make it heartier!
  • Cool! I see that new kitchen in your new house is being put to good use!!! I like looking at cooking blogs, but rarely ever find the chance to make any new recipes. I will continue to check out your 5 ingrediant challange thing...I am all about quick and easy these days.
  • Oh Rylie will eat veggies, it is meat she doesn't care for.  Well, unless you count fish sticks and hot dogs as meat.  LOL  I will definitely try that soup!  Thanks!
  • Yay, I love cooking.  Gonna go see what I can try tonight...well, I actually already decided that I wasn't cooking tonight. (milking the sick card for as long as possible...lol)  But maybe I'll try something by this weekend.

  • Thank you ladies! I suggest everyone try the Spinach Tortellini Soup! So easy and wonderful to pair with salads, sandwiches, or just bread! Everyone at the table eating it will think you slaved over the stove for hours cooking this delicious soup!

LeeAnn--I was the same way growing up and still am... not a fan of meat, but force myself to eat it nightly! Thankfully, my husband doesn't mind eating 1-2 vegetarian meals a week! :)

**I just added a new slow cooker recipe to my blog this morning... Chianti-Braised Short Ribs! Delicious and easy to make!

  • Great job! I added your blog to my google reader.

I have one in my signature as well. I used to update it a lot but morning sickness has stopped my blogging in it's tracks.  Hopefully I can get back to it soon, it's a fun hobby.

  • Thanks ladies!

Jenni--congrats on baby #2! I love your blog! Your salsa chicken in the crockpot looks awesome!!! I just printed out a copy of the recipe for me and two of my other co-workers!

  • Hey Katie.  I finally came over from theknot (sj_moe) and I saw this post.  I wanted to tell you that I finally went to the meat market you were blogging about and I can't thank you enough for it.  I love to cook and spend SO much money on meat.  I cannot believe how much I was able to buy at such a low cost!!!  Thanks so much for sharing!!
