**Mrs.Kocal and other Bayside ladies

May i ask what real estate company you used to find your place(s)? I'm doing some research cuz i liked the way you described Bayside in your previous post.

TIA!

Re: **Mrs.Kocal and other Bayside ladies

  • I used Suydam but they were based out of College Point and I wouldn't recommend them.  Check out this lady: http://energizedrealtygroup.com/index.htm

I swear she sells every darn house in my neighborhood.  If I see one more "Judy and Energized sold another house!" sign in someone's lawn I will scream.  That said, she probably has a ton of listings at her disposal because she is everywhere.

  • Also, I actually found our house myself (our realtor was a waste of space who just got a chunk of commission after letting me do all the legwork) by checking MLS daily.  The site for Queens is www.mlsli.com.  There are tons of Bayside listings there?

Are you guys looking to move or are you just curious? Come live in Bayside, it's fun!!  And the LIRR is blocks from my house - 25 minutes to Penn Station!

  • Right now i'm just curious and daydreamy. Embarrassed But i like to keep an eye out!

I'll check out all of those websites!!

  • I checked mlsli.com myself and called the realtor to show me the places. You might enjoy starting by going to open houses on the weekend. Not sure if you're looking for a house or coop, but at open houses you can start seeing what coop complexes you like and then look for apts. in them.

On that website you can put in your criteria (price, # bedrooms, location) and they will email you the places that come up and if there are open houses.

Good Luck! I just got my closing next week, but I put in my offer in Aug. It takes a while now, especially coops because they also have to approve you.
