Ok, here's the story:
Since DH's restaurant opening got pushed back, our NY trip was also postponed to February. Since he is management, he couldn't plan to be away when they weren't sure when the official opening date would be and we couldn't plan to take a last minute NY trip because the rates are too expensive when not booked in advance. It makes much more sense to just wait until we can get approved dates. Restaurant openings are really unpredictable and we didn't want to risk it.
I had taken off next week, thinking we would be in NY, but that all went down the drain. I was super bummed. Sad story, I know.
BUTTT! The restaurant opening got pushed back to the 1st, so DH might just be free again next week! YAY! Soooo, if all goes as planned, we're planning on going to Gatlinburg on the 20th and staying at a cabin in the Smokey Mountains, then coming back the 24th. I am freaking out because i want to start booking everything but I can't until he gives me the go ahead! He won't be able to tell me till Thursday - How am I going to wait till then?!!! Oh, to be a chef's wife.
And the best part? It's predicted to snow! A White Christmas!
::squeals with uncontrollable excitement::
