What are your NYE 2010 plans?
I really want to go DO something but DH told me we could sit around and watch movies for all he cares. We're past the whole bar scene so I was looking into getting a bunch of our friends together and going to dinner and bowling... only I checked into the bowling alleys in our area and they have a "family" night where there is absolutely no alcohol allowed (not even for purchase). Like I said, we're past the bar scene but we'd at least like to be able to have a beer. So now I'm kinda stumped. What are your New Year's Eve plans??
Re: What are your NYE 2010 plans?
We haven't decided. The restaurant where we held our reception is hosting dinner and at 10 will have a dj for salsa night, all of the hotels will have bands and djs, there's a masquerade ball, the symphony is hosting a Viennese waltz until midnight and then contemporary band after midnight, and one venue is hosting a swing dance. It's a tought decision!
Or we can skip American NYE and go to NY for Chinese NY in Feb. I think I'm liking Chinese NY.
A bunch of us are going to sprawl out on a blanket, freeze our butts off, drink cold beer, wear stupid hats, and watch free fireworks in Columbia! Woot woot!
This year we are going to a friend of ours house to have dinner, drinks and play games and band hero. Very budget friendly and we will have lots of fun!!!
We are either going to stay home or go to my parents house. Our LO is usually in bed around 8 so we really cant go anywhere. But either which way we will play games and watch tv/movies.
Being in a new city with no friends, we are planning on staying in. We might hit up the First Night festivities downtown, but a fire in the fire place, a bottle of wine, and board games sounds good to me!
One of our friends usually has a party. We're going to be going to that and possibly spending the night. Last year was the Mr's year to drink and mine to drive. This year it's mine to drink and his to drive but our friends have offered up their spare room so I am not sure what will happen.

I've never been either cause there has always been a house party. I know St. Louis has one and thought it was just a St. Louis thing, but Raleigh has one too, so we might check it out after dinner and score a balloon animal or two.
