Traveling to Chicago next week -- need ideas
Hi ladies,
My DH and I are traveling to Chicago for a Bears game. We've been there a few times for games, so we've done all the super touristy things. Can you gals recomend some off-the-path things to do while we're in town? We're staying near Bellevue and Rush.
Any suggestions you have are much appreciated!

What type of activities do you like? Have you ventured out of Downtown? Are you willing to? There is The Green Mill (Jazz club) off the Lawrence Stop on the Red Line. Have you gone to Bucktown/Wicker Park? There is the Double Door for music and many great restaurants and boutiqes. If you go there I recommend you go to Piece. I know some people like going to The Kerryman bar which is not too far from where you are staying. If you like wine perhaps treck to Lincoln Park and go to Wine DOC or stay nearby and go to Pops for Champagne If you like Beer there is The Hopleaf in Andersonville.

Do you guys want to take the el or a bus or cabs? How far are you willing to travel? I always tell people to go to Old Town (Wells & North Ave), there's a good mix of everything there and a ton of shopping west of Wells on North Ave. The brown & red line (the el) can take you to both.
