Wednesday Confessions
I've been using DH's deodorant all this week, and I kind of like it.
I hate giving Christmas gifts to certain family members out of obligation.
I make cookies at least once a week, and they're usually gone in 24 hours between me and DH.

I have a fridge full of food and continue to stand there and say there is nothing to eat (which leads to a ton of waste).
I've only done about 10 minutes of work in the 45 minutes I've been at work.

I confess to being upset that I didn't bring my external hard drive into work so i can work on my resume and portfolio website since my boss is unexpectedly out of the office today.
I confess that I got a very significant Christmas bonus at work, and instead of smiling and being happy, I biitched about how much was going to be taken out in taxes.
But seriously. Like 40%. C'MON.
I've been at work since 8 (it's 10 now) and I've done the following:
I also confess that I shaved my legs for the first time in like 3 weeks yesterday. In my defense, my hair on my legs grows insanely slow and if you looked you probably couldn't even tell I needed to shave.
I am dreading xmas. It is the day from hell for me. I live about 45 minutes away from my entire family, but because I have a dog it's a real challenge. I have to bring my dog to my aunts house about an hour away, go to my parents in the morning at around 8, my grandparents house at 10ish, leave there and drive 20 minutes to my aunts house (where my dog is). We stay there til about 4pm, then we drive a few towns over to H's aunt's house, then we end up at the IL's house late night. Then we drive back home. I really just want to say screw it and stay home for xmas.
DH is out of town and I told him while he was gone I would clean our master bath and finish up the laundry. I haven't done jacksh!t. Last night after I got home from the gym, I took an incredibly long bubble bath and read a ton of magazines while laying on the couch.
My mom brought in my favorite christmas cookies to work today (we work together), and I've already had 4. I had to leave the tin upstairs in her office just to get away from them.
I'm broke as a joke right now yet still insist on stopping by starbucks every morning on my way to work.
oh, and i have done nothing work-related today. i, too, have chatted with friends, played on twitter, played on the nest, tracked packages i'm expecting...etc. i see a pattern here. with all of us.
I would say my work day is spent doing the above 85% of the time. I'm a model employee. If I ever have a job where I don't have full Internet access I'd have to quit immediately.

After working this weekend and 12+ hours Mon and Tues, I decided to "work" from home today since my boss is out of town. I slept in until 8 and have several recipes I plan to make this afternoon. So far this morning, I've watched the Today Show and played on the internet. Wrapped a few presents I was hiding for DH and started a load of laundry.
I also had a cookie and a handful of white chocolate chips for breakfast since I was out of cereal.

I received a friend request from someone whose name I don't recognize either. Apparently he went to my HS and we have 28 mutual friends but I don't know him and his profile doesn't seem interesting enough to warrant befriending him. I'm a biitch.
I wish this were true, but at my house it's just me doing the cookie eating.

I confess that I, too, will be eating cookies for breakfast since I got some as a gift yesterday and I have not been to the grocery store in weeks.
I also confess that I ran out of time to grade an assignment my students handed into two weeks ago (today is the last day of class) so I just gave everyone who turned it in 100%.
Where were you when I was in college!??!
Another confession:
I didn't sign our names or write personalized messages on our Christmas cards. I just did custom-designed (using a wedding pic) VP postcards. I did handwrite the addresses though....

I am also annoyed that this is the last week of school before winter break and I actually have time to spend on TN at work and they blocked it! grrrrrr So instead I play computer games all day
I confess that this thread has left me craving homemade cookies and I'm so frustrated that I don't bake! I even looked at some recipes but wanted to make substitutions and anyway don't have chocolate chips (what's the point without chocolate chips?) so I abandoned the whole thing.
But man you all really made me want some cookies!
