Bacon wrapped dates - who was it?

I know someone on this board mentioned bacon wrapped dates as an appetizer. 

Can you share the recipe? Is it as simple as the name implies?

I've had those at a restaurant but never homemade. But man they were good. I know the ones I had, the dates were stuffed with bleu cheese or something. absolutely AWESOME. i hope someone does share that recipe...

Might have been me.  If so, yes they really are simple.  Pit the dates, stuff with bleu cheese, wrap with bacon, drizzle with honey, salt and black pepper and shove it in the oven.  Done.

One word of advice.  The honey will be molten lava hot and will get black on the spaces between the dates because the sugar cooks much faster than the bacon.  I highly recommend using parchment paper on your sheet pan.  Otherwise, it's borderline impossible to get off.

All I do is cut bacon strips in half or thirds, wrap the date, secure with a toothpick and bake until the bacon is done.  They're actually a bit better (the date seems less sweet) if you make them the day before and just reheat them a bit.
