Hi, I'm Jen, I think this is the first time I'm posting here. I live in Santa Monica, but I'm from Philly. I'm pretty active on some of the other nest boards, and I was reading below (really old post, but not that far down unfortunately!) the post from meldot asking where everyone is.
Seems like even if all the previous LA nesties moved to a private board, we newbies can still get to know each other here and hopefully this board will be more active.
So I'm going to pledge to write a new post each day, asking random questions that will help us to get to know each other better, being TMI in random aspects of my life (if you want an example of how I can be TMI, see here:

What you do: boring government job writing reports, analyzing financial stuff; basically I hate it. I really hope you won't flame me for wasting your tax money by nesting! Really, it sucks, I have a lot of down time, but I'm not able to do other work for another section of the department. Ah, the glories of bureacracy.

I'll play, too! The LA Knot was rockin' back when I was planning my wedding and this board seemed to be, also. I look at the good ol' Knot board from time to time and it makes me sad that it is so lonely.
