Well, so many things bug me but this is just the latest.
According to today's post, she making more money which means she's getting more readers. I'm sure some of it is people like us, but she's got a fair amount of followers and she gets a good number of comments. There are people out there who think her lifestyle is commendable and ideal. I can't wrap my head around that. There is nothing about her that I find envious. No part of her life is desirable to me. But yet for some people....they choose to live on crappy food, probably dirty clothes, in tiny spaces, with idiot husbands and stupid children and think life is awesome compared to someone in a third world nation.
Also, all that money she made would buy a lot of food and good food at that. It's upsetting to think she'll use it for stevia, textbooks, and soap nuts.
Re: Here's what gets me about Under 1000
I think sometimes the poor have their own special type of snobbery, especially the willfully poor.
I also think there are people out there who want to do what they want to do without considering the consequences, (ie, have 10 children while their making under 1000 a month), and this blog is a great enabler for that.
Crap...I Mean Crafts
I can stand behind wanting to be content w/ what you've got, with finding ways to be frugal, etc.
I think a lot of 'good Christian' people who want that are taught to be 'nice' they can't be critical of the crazy ways she gloms onto that.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner!
My MIL is this type of snob. Why would you want to have a decent job and plenty of money in the bank? Why would you want to live well? Why would you want to do anything with a little class? I didn't hear the end of wedding carping until H stopped speaking to her - why didn't we just have a barbecue in a barn like she did?
Also, this reminds me of The Ogre...She is 400lbs but she eats the crappiest food. Like, knock off Top Ramen and no name peanut butter sandwhiches. If you are going to blow up like that, at least make the jourbey enjoyable.
She also chooses to live in squallor, literally, her house is hoarder-like. But I think she is depressed about her life, so she doesn't care about her home. The thing is...it gets so bad, it makes her sick. Being a smoker, with chronic pulmonary issues, living in fecal matter (which can causes diseases) gives her diseases.
