Boarding pet for the holidays
Happy Holidays ladies!
I am in need of some help this holiday season! I need to find a boarding place for my 6 lb maltese while my husband and I are away for a few days over Christmas. I am still brand new to the area and am very apprehensive about taking my baby girl anywhere that isn't safe and clean.
Does anyone have any reccomendations for me? I am in the Mt. Pleasant area. I would really appreciate your help!!
Thanks!
Brooke
Re: Boarding pet for the holidays
We boarded our pups at Paw Plaza Hotel, which is off Long Point Rd. in Mt. P. We were very pleased with them. Our girl dog is very particular about whom she likes, and she took to they staff well. They will also do private play time if you prefer. http://www.pawplazahotel.com/index.html
I looked into this place and honestly I wouldn't use them AT ALL! Especially over Christmas. They close at 12 on Christmas Eve and don't come back in until the day AFTER Christmas! So basically your dog will be eating/pooping/sleeping in the same crate for over 24 hrs! Oh and they didn't have any small crates available for Christmas just the big crates where they keep the big dogs. I also have a 7lb dog and she's my baby so I feel for you.
Have you thought of getting someone to come to your place instead? This lady is wonderful, she does a bunch of people in my development and we are going to use her in Feb

This is really surprising. I wouldn't have expected this from them. I don't see how they can get away with it.
I know! What's the point of boarding your pet if they aren't going to be there to look after them. I was pretty disappointed in that. I guess if I was going away not during a holiday I would maybe consider it but not over Christmas.
Whoa. And my dog would hold it then wind up with a serious UTI.
