Baby Shower Location Help (New Haven?) for a Cleveland Nestie
I need some baby shower location help- I'm throwing a baby shower for a friend who lives in Oxford, CT but I think we'll likely have it in New Haven b/c there seem to be more venues to pick from there (is this an okay assumption?).
Could you please recommend a nice cafe/bakery/restaurant for an afternoon baby shower in/near New Haven? I'm looking for some place cute where we can have a cake and light snacks, preferably with a private room but not essential. Any recs and advice would be appreciated!!
Thank you!
Re: Baby Shower Location Help (New Haven?) for a Cleveland Nestie
Thanks! It will probably 10-15 people or so. I guess if we'll have to have a meal, I'd say < $25 per person for brunch/lunch. A nice place for less is always nice though!
I was hoping there might be a little bakery/pastry cafe type of place (like Sweet Melissa's in Brooklyn) but I guess there isn't something like that available.
Really any cute place you could recommend for a shower (even without a private room), would be wonderful. Thanks so much!

Sorry this reply is so late, but I never come on this board anymore. It sounds like a tea room might be a good choice since you don't really want to do a full meal. I found a couple of places that might be of interest:
http://www.mainlytea.com is in Wethersfield which isn't all that far from New Haven. The website has some pics, menus and private party info.?
Here's a link for Celtica: ?http://www.gotirish.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=9 ? It's mostly an Irish shop with a tea room inside. Oh, and it's right in New Haven.?
Also, here's a directory of tea rooms in the state. They don't have links to each one but you can easily google the ones that you like. Hope that helps!
